The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid vacuum and mopping machine is an excellent option for those who live in a multi-floored home. The vacuum's 0.6l bin can hold a large amount of pet hair. Dual motors give powerful cleaning power. The dustbin is able to be removed and emptied easily which is beneficial because you'll need to clean it often.
It's also easy to set it up, although I recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid prior to running it for the first time. Install the Eufy Home application and follow the instructions to connect it to your WiFi network. The app will help you to create a map of your house. You can label rooms or divide large spaces into smaller rooms (good for open-plan living) and direct the X8 Hybrid to specific areas that need cleaning at a given time. Eufy's app is more user-friendly and precise robot vacuum sale than other robots that have similar scanning and mapping capabilities.
One of the best features on the X8 Hybrid is that you can activate the mop or vacuum with your voice thanks to integration with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. This is a wonderful feature that makes the robot hands-free. It was very effective in our test home.
Like other robotic vacuums, the X8 Hybrid has some issues with floors that are bare. It is prone to be unable to see pet hair or small objects, and it is prone to bump into things, like its own charger that sits on its base for charging. It's not as quiet, and the whirring sound could be distracting like other models.

The robot doesn't have as many features as some of the more expensive models we've tested but it does come with the basics. It has a large enough dust bin that can hold plenty of dirt before it needs emptying and its vacuum and mop system is perfect for carpets with low pile and hard floors. It's also super quiet, and we could watch the TV while it was working without feeling like it was bombarding us with noise.
Our test subjects were impressed with how easy it was to install and use, and were impressed by its capacity to take all the mess off their floors. It also did a good job at removing pet hair and messes on carpeting, although it wasn't as successful in removing stubborn staining. They found the app user-friendly and intuitive, and they were able to schedule the vacuum to be cleaned on a regular basis to cut down on the amount they had to do manually. The only downside is that it doesn't have any mapping technology or object avoidance, so you can't direct it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips work).
Another model from iRobot's low-cost line, the V3S Pro has some impressive features for its price. It topped all other robotic vacuums in our tests when it comes to mapping and avoiding obstacles, and it's the perfect budget option for those looking for a smarter self-emptying robot vacuum that can handle pet hair and messes on both carpeting and hardwood floors. It's also very quiet and has a large dust bin that holds lots of debris before it's time to empty it and you don't have to be concerned about having to empty it every time you use it.
The V3S Pro did not make it into any of our top picks lists from trusted sources who test hands-on, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They appreciated the ease with which it was install and use, but they also noted that its battery life is very short and it was unable to avoid some of the most stubborn mess we've put it through.
