The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as other models do to locate your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is built into the charging base. This robot can recognize your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the push of the button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.
This vacuum works well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models and can pick up pet hair without difficulty. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.
Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.
In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it encounters a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it and moves forward.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background, as well as washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to an empty bin.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's clutter that must be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you can need. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural best robot vacuum cleaner for carpet voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also has a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are useful but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category which could make it a little more expensive than some homeowners need.
Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
