The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features of its more expensive sibling.
During testing, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to identify your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the click of one button. You can select a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do and can remove pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be better.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think this is a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.
The only downside is that it lacks a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.
As for the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.
You can also create and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even remove wet spills however I would recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping modes and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a specific route.
The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks good robot vacuum to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it enhances suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does a thorough job. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than some homeowners require.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The central control panel is the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open up the app's settings menu where you can modify how the L10s Ultra works with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This allows the robot to mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
